Conference FAQ

Can I change my schedule?

Yes! Simply uncheck a session to remove that session from your schedule. Check a different session to add it. The scheduling system will NOT allow you to double book yourself, so be sure to pay attention to the length of each of your sessions.

How do I get credit?

Several types of credit will be available

  1. Graduate Credit – Ashland University will be offering graduate credit for your time at the conference. See the Ashland booth near the check-in area from 8am to 10am on either day. Click here for more information about getting Ashland credit.
  2. CEU/PDU Credit – All participants will receive a certificate by email indicating their conference attendance. Work with your local district on how that may translate to PD hour requirements, IPDP requirements, etc.
  3. Gifted Credit – You will need to individually sign into any session being offered for gifted credit. You will then receive a certificate by email indicating your hours of participation in gifted sessions. All sessions in the category of “Meeting Gifted Learners’ Needs” are taught by licensed gifted intervention specialists and cover key gifted competencies.

What about lunch?

Food trucks will be available for your lunch! They will be on site from 11 until about 2pm. Be sure to add lunch to your schedule when choosing sessions. Unlike past years, we will not have all attendees in lunch at the same time. Want to bring your own? Feel free to do so. There will be plenty of tables and chairs in the Large Commons area as well as other parts of the building.

I’m a presenter, how can I edit my session?

Presenters can edit their session description. They cannot edit the title, time, or room. See Sched’s Speaker Tools for more information.

My district is not a member of the High Aims Consortium? Can I still attend?

Yes! If you are an educator that is employed by a non-member district, a consultant, or other individual working in education, you can still attend the Summer Institute. Please register like normal. You will be billed based on the number of attendees in your group. See the attached PDF for details. Please bring a check or PO when signing in at the Summer Institute.
